INDIGENOUS FEAST

AMIQAAQ2 - BORN THIS WAY: TWO SPIRIT VOICES
NOVEMBER 2, 2012 5:30 -7:00 GRAND SALON, CAMPUS ST. JEAN, EDMONTON

~

As we celebrate the diversity of sexuality and gender in this conference, we also celebrate the diversity of incredible traditional foods that Indigenous peoples share. We recognize that our peoples have been prolific traders and traded foods like corn or maize, beans, wild game, seafood and cocoa. Later, We incorporated items like flour and sugar to create bannock, fry bread and Indian tacos. Enjoy!
