Arts Aboriginal Students Council
The Faculty of Arts supports an Aboriginal Student Council.
This council was created to help develop and foster a strong Aboriginal community within the Faculty of Arts.
The Purpose for creating this council if for it’s members to act as advisor’s to the faculty on issues that are important to Aboriginal students, by doing this the Faculty and council will be able to plan academically focused programming for the Aboriginal community with Arts.
Some information about the council:
Structure: 16 Members (ideally 1 position for each department)
Resources: The council does receive an annual budget from the Faculty of Arts for academically focused events and mentorship resources.
